Jeannie has been with Counseling for Wellness for more than 5 years. Her expertise, kind heart and organization help us bring the best scheduling and billing issues to a successful completion. It is her voice you will hear when you call in.

 

Meet the Counselors

   

Jane Vair Bissler, Ph.D., LPCC, FT

Jane has a Master of Education degree in community counseling and a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from Kent State University. She is a licensed professional clinical counselor and is recognized as a fellow in thanatology (the study of death and dying) by the Association of Death Education and Counseling. She is currently serves on the board of directors of this premier organization. Along with being the clinical director and supervisor of Counseling for Wellness, she publishes a weekly newspaper column addressing issues regarding grief and loss for adults and children. Jane works with many grief issues stemming from divorce, abandonment, death, loss of job, empty nest syndrome, and retirement. She enjoys working in the fields of loss, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, depression and couples counseling. When she has the time, she also enjoys teaching in the masters and doctoral level community counseling program at Kent State University.

   

Jill J. Jividen, M.Ed., LPC

Jill has a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from The University of Akron and a Master of Education degree in community counseling from Kent State University. She works with all ages, specializing in adolescents with learning disabilities and those struggling with eating disorders. Jill also enjoys couples counseling and working with women's issues. Jill's wide range of experiences provides a creative and unique holistic approach to her counseling. She has advanced training in voice dialogue which helps clients address areas that are hindering their life plans. She is vivacious and easy to talk with.

   
  Amanda K. Brace, M.Ed., LSC 

Amanda has experience working with people of all ages. She has received specialized training in helping children and adolescents work with learning disabilities, adjustment issues, and bullying (including cyberbullying). Amanda enjoys working with children, adults, families, and couples using a creative, holistic, and systemic approach to counseling enabling clients to explore the issues that have interrupted their lives. Amanda has a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master of Education degree in School Counseling from Kent State University. Amanda is a licensed school counselor.

Rudy, D.O.G., Therapy Dog

Rudy is a Maltese and thus hypo allergenic. His open and accepting disposition has been assisting all of the therapists and many clients with the counseling process for the past 8 years. He looks forward to meeting you!
